The house behind the fragrance / 2019
Bibliothèque de Parfum
Bibliothèque de Parfum is a Ukrainian niche fragrance brand founded in Kharkiv in 2019. Its perfume-library concept gives each fragrance a name and a story of its own.

The manufacturer describes Secret Chapter as a fresh marine and citrus fragrance with salty lemon. Its note pyramid draws comparisons with Creed Millésime Impérial. But what happens when you get to know the fragrance itself?
To me, Bibliothèque de Parfum has made something wonderful here. A bright perfume and, I have to say, quite a lasting one. When I first tried it, I went a little overboard with the application — and it lasted practically all day. Nine or ten hours, really. I wasn’t expecting that kind of longevity from what seems like a light summer fragrance. But it lasts.
The sea salt and that tang of lemon come through clearly. A salty breeze, freshness — that’s the whole feel of it. A very decent option for summer. And perhaps not just summer — it depends on what you enjoy.
As for the comparison with Creed… Creed is Creed, and Bibliothèque de Parfum is Bibliothèque de Parfum. The foundation of the note pyramid is similar, though somewhat simplified in Secret Chapter. But both longevity and the scent trail are very good. A familiar direction, yet the perfumes themselves are still different. That’s why I find it difficult to compare them directly.
Given the price, which is noticeably lower than Creed’s, it’s a good way to explore this style of fragrance. I’d suggest trying it for summer. But, as always, start with a sample: spend some time wearing it, see how it develops on you, and draw your own conclusions.
